Mortgage Loan Processing Training

Conventional Mortgage Loan Processing (CMLP)

This course is to teach students a foundation of mortgage loan processing. It is presented in an easy to understand training format, active class participation and simulated loan packaging exercise. This training will include a training manual, case scenarios and quizzes.
Please bring a financial calculator.

- Part one is mortgage loan origination skill development. At the end of part one, students will acquire skills and knowledge in eligibility criteria, income analysis, pre-qualification, analyzing ratios, calculating good faith estimate and how to explain to the borrower, loan application technique negotiating points and program review.

- Part two is the loan process. Students will become familiar with various documents and reports. Topics will include FICO and credit report, verifications, federal compliance disclosures, federal-truth in lending, appraisal and preliminary report and understanding escrow procedures.

- Part three is submission and organizing a loan file. This is simulated loan packaging exercise. After the end of part three, students will learn the fundamental of loan processing, roles of a loan processor, loan package presentation, stacking, cover letter, underwriting conditions and quality control.

- At the conclusion of the course, Mortgage Training Partner will assist Brokers how to prepare the Broker Approval Package for the lender.
